The ICE Unit is comprised of deputies from both the
Charleston County Sheriff’s Office and the
Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office who team up to
patrol Interstate 95. These deputies conduct traffic
stops on vehicles, looking for illegal contraband
that is being transported through the State of South
Carolina. This Unit is responsible for numerous
seizures of illegal narcotics, weapons, and Drug
funds. The deputies have also recovered several
stolen vehicles and arrested fugitives wanted for
various crimes. They also assist stranded motorists
and help ensure the safety of motorists traveling on
the Interstate.
